We believe it’s absolutely essential to conserve water whenever possible. Droughts are all too common in our harsh Australian climate, so we need to save and store all the water we can. This helps to cut the water bill and provides cool, clean drinking water.

There are many advantages to having a concrete tank built on your site, including:

- For a once-only investment, your ongoing water costs will be considerably reduced
- No rust, no smell, no melt
- Built onsite; built to last
- Less reliant on town water supply, therefore better for the environment. Can drastically reduce mains usage if used for laundry and toilet water.
- Water can be used for gardens, topping up pools and washing cars when water restrictions apply
- The top of the tank can be used for a BBQ area, pergola, basketball court or clothesline area. You could also build the tank into a hillside and use it as part of a retaining wall.
- Water supply handy for fire fighting
Factors involved in calculating the tanks size required
- 1mm rainfall = 1 litre water/m2 roof space (then allow ± 10 % wastage)
- A smaller roof will catch less water = larger tank needed to catch and store as much runoff as possible
